Latent Semantic Indexing
Google's I'm Feeling lucky button synonym to Wikipedia ?
It has come to my attention that most of my daily searches (and I do make a lot of them) end up with Wiki on the first page. I started to think if Wikipedia isn't artificially boosted by Google.... yeah Google we know they aren't angels... but now really out of 600 random keywords and keyword combinations almost everyone of them is on the 1-st page...
Now that doesn't seem to be fair and you as yourself if the so disputed I'm feeling lucky button isn't a synonym for Wikipedia or a shortcut (your choice).
Hope Google fixes things, now everybody knows about Wiki and it's a shame when another good article is being obfuscated by other kind of interests... My solution ? remove Wiki from the search engines... it's already so popular that everyone who needs wiki info. could go directly to their homepage...
Sad Person.

Incredible rankings
How to reach 40 on a 10 million keyword with lots of competition.
My primary targeted keyword is backlinks for which i have reached 40 out 10 million results ! Although programs like Seo Elite tell me that the current position is 30 (different Google searches may differ because of multiple datacenters) i think 40 is still a good rank and the screenshot proves it.
Another keyword combination i died to rank for was "buy backlinks". In a world where links are being sold or rented for hundreds of dollars i have made it to first page on Google ! That is a very good result nevertheless.
I am willing to teach everyone about my techniques so if you stick around on my blog i'm sure you will get valuable information that you can use to improve your site.
You could search for these keywords for yourself if you do not believe me. So share this with your friends let us rank high baby !
Alexa Rank
I think Alexa's system really shows you the progress, if any, of your site. Because Google updates it's Page Rank only a few times a year you need some kind of info about your site. I would recommend using the Alexa Toolbar which you can download from their website here because it reveals accurate information about your site.
Other ways to figure out the progress of your site include finding your backlinks through several ways shown on my blog or by searching how your keywords rank on different search engines. The more tedious way is doing it manually, a bit time consuming if you want to check on your stats daily but efficient or by getting a software like Seo Elite which is a major improvement and has a lot of features which will help you get your knowledge. Let's say you want to find out about competition for instance, how many links the have or at what keywords they excel. I know it costs money but not everything in this lifetime is free.
So if your building your site be sure to have all the goodies that you might need installed like:
1. Google Toolbar for Page Rank
2. Alexa Toolbar for Alexa Rank
3. Search Status to be able to find nofollow links
4. Seo Elite or any similar software.
These are life savers sometimes and you can't really handle without them but if you like it the hard way you can come up with your own "solution" but i can't emphasise this enough :
Use your head, don't listed to every stuff that's out there, i'm sure that you can learn a lot but if you want to become successful in this field Use your head !
Keyword Rankings
I recently removed Google Adsense because it made my site look a bit childish but i can't imagine that the loss of traffic is connected in any way with Adsense... What is more shocking is that i'm not banned on Google and like i said i have pretty good results for any backlink combination like "buy or find or easy backlinks" but where is the traffic then ?
I know a solution would be to start submitting articles to Digg or other social media/ bookmarking sites but i really want to see organic search engine based traffic coming to my blog. The ways of the internet are still mysterious to me but heck who knows them anyway.... Who wouldn't literally kill to have their sites not placed on the first result but at least on the first page of Google, Yahoo or MSN ? With keyword rankings and a decent site comes traffic, and traffic will always make you money, either selling it, orientating it to your other affiliate sites, promote your products or even using Pay Per Click programs.
I might need to start documenting some more and experiment with a couple of things and i sincerely hope things will turn out fine in the end, till then happy blogging and don't forget that we are entering such a beautiful period (Christmas). So to all of you who haven't started on buying gifts well you should start before you find yourselves with no time whatsoever.

edu links
Edu links aren't something new, they've been out there since 1985 (most of them from the US) and most representing schools although a few are belonging to museums or other educational based institutions. But why would they mean anything to you ? Well if you got edu links it's some kind of saying : hey he can be trusted, know what i mean ?
Having .edu links means that your site will gain more and more credibility, so you don't need to have like half of your total backlinks marked as edu but you could try to do your best at getting these.
A few interesting ways of searching edu links can be found here at dailyblogtips so feel free to start posting your bloglinks right away.
You will be surprised to see that all top ranking sites have edu links and it has become a linko hunting mania out there but if you play your cards right i'm sure you'll manage.

Drupal is backlink compatible
Whenever i wish to find a relevant site on Drupal i just go to Google and write these down : "login or register" inurl:node "keyword"
What it says is the following:
"login or register" - find those sites who have this in their content. Drupal needs you to register before you can comment so i used this to filter the results.
"inurl:node" tells google to filter those webpages that contain nodes (Drupal specific)
"keyword" is a topic you are interested in talking about.
Posting a decent comment with a link back to your page is really easy and can get you a backlinks from a relevant page in no time. You just need to download and install a plugin for your browser (I use SeoQuake) in order to see the page rank of google's results and then select those results (with PR greater than 1 obviously) and an email account.
Here we have a Google Search and as you can see i have typed what i was talking about earlier in the search box.
From the results you can see that finding a PR 6 page to post on might not be that hard to accomplish. It's really that simple ! you need to register and then add a nice comment with a backlink to your site. Of course your comments might get deleted but so remember not to spam and happy posting !
As an ending i'm going to show you a full example on how to build a backlink for any type of site. I'm going to search for a site relevant to my blog (seo and backlinks)
So here's the google search ! (remember to install SeoQuake and sort the results by their PR too )
Then we'll randomly take any result ( remember that every site works as long as the registration is complete and you don't need to wait for the administrator approval.
I'm going to register to their native site http://drupal.org/ (i don't recommend using this one because it's heavily moderated and you really need to stay on topic oh and it's amongst the few sites that tag your link with nofollow... but this thing can be fixed by adding rel=follow to your links).
So i've settled on http://drupal.org/node/15450 and this seems a good site.. Next thing is to register and get posting. I strongly recommend you get a plugin to highlight the nofollow links on any page.
So add a decent (even better than mine :P) comment that contains a link in the content or as a signature (your choice) and tell that link to point back at any site you want... So write these down youranchor
Now post the damn thing and you're set you have a one way link !
As you can see there are a few pink links (those are the nofollow links that drupal automatically sets). So here are a few more tips :
There are literally thousands of sites based on drupal so why not get good links ?
Don't over do it ! don't post more than one comment per day on a certain site !
Be sure to have a lot of accounts ready but if your comments are getting constantly deleted just move on !
Spread this document please ! and help promote my blog so I can get a bit more motivated.
backlinks on a new domain
Of course i will continue to work on backlinks and post my discoveries on this site too. I hope I will start to do a better job from now on and the first thing is to get good content and hope to see traffic coming so i can get a bit more motivated.
For all those who are new to this domain i wish you the best and why not success !

Post today and link away
So plan ahead, post a decent and original article/post on your site/blog.. Link away to something relevant and you're set. You'll be amazed how traffic will be increasing to your site. Eh.. it helps to be active that's what i think.

Planning is the way to go
People grow but do they really learn more ? do they struggle to find perfection ? that's the thing i am interested in... why not do things using your head and heart . Try to look over the fence... that's how I want to start thinking from right now.

backlinks are easy
Don't think of it as something difficult although sometimes you will find it a bit harder. Think of it as the only way your site could ever exist and be known. You love your site right ? then you should love creating backlinks to it.
There is one thing i haven't said before about the number of backlinks you should build daily. Ok it would be better to have a decent income of links daily if not built by you but your friends also but try to set a number and stick to that number. This way you will have a much clearer image of your site and progress.

search engine
Well a search engine is a system and like any systems out there it has : a purpose and that purpose is to bring information fast to the end user.
Of course search engines work under certain rules, have an interface and are amongst us in different forms. The most known type of search engine is a web search engine that allows people on the internet to find information. The better the algorithms the better or adequate the results will be.
I've talked about search engines on an earlier post and let's remember that the most important search engines are:
1. Google
2. Yahoo
3. MSN
They all share similarities and have a long history filled with events, ups and downs but today the end-user isn't interested in that, he is interested in the functionality of it. So why are search engines so popular ? Well can you imagine yourself accessing the internet, looking for something and not having the slightest clue on where to go first ? Who isn't addicted on search engines ? and finally who hasn't used one till today.
I remember when i first came across Altavista back in the late 96' it was really something, having the possibility to search for information was incredible. Since then most of us are using them on a daily basis either for music, pictures etc.
So what is there to be done, in matters of improving these search engines ? some people talk about implementing smarter AI's so that people will have a more friendly approach, some people say that they will control all the information on the Internet, i will not approach any idea because i'm happy with things they way they are now.
Finally i would like to encourage everyone to spread out the idea, search engines are your friends and they are time savers if you like it or not.

Find backlinks
Finding backlinks or finding which sites are linking to you is quite easy. But different search engines will provide different results.
The three most known and important search engines are Google, Yahoo and MSN. Here are a few examples on how to search for backlinks on each of them:
1.Google
Use link:www.yourexample.com and try excluding your own links by adding the following :
-site:yourexample.com -site:www.yourexample.com because you are interested in the links coming from exterior sources.
2. Yahoo
Same as Google only with a minor difference. Instead of link you must type linkdomain so the syntax would be linkdomain:www.yourexample.com
3. MSN
Last but not least we have MSN. Well searching for your backlinks in MSN is basically the same as Google and Yahoo. We can use the link or linkdomain syntax. This makes it easier because people get very confused.

Buy Backlinks
If you have lots of money (backlinks are expensive a PR 7 link could cost you around 70$ a month) you could go and buy backlinks but if you have the time (and the lessons are here) i recommend you learn how to build them yourself. But don't forget this possibility because you might want to build gov or edu backlinks which are a bit trickier and if you find a great deal then why not.

backlinks from blogs
Ok the first thing you should take into consideration is your site's topic/theme. This is important because you would like the inbound links (the ones coming from these sites and linking towards you) to be placed on topics relevant to your content.
Let's say your site is about computers. That means you must find blogs where people talk about their computers. Well there are several ways to do this:
1. Using Seochat.
Seochat is a site that has a PageRank searching tool. It let's you find pages with PR by just inputing your search string. There are many blogging networks out there but most of them and by this i mean the well known ones : wordpress, blogspot etc have a no follow tag attached to your links and you end up having a useless link. You really want to avoid this and in order to do so you will need to experiment with different search strings and gather your information carefully. One way to avoid no follow links is by adding a pluggin for your browser. I am not going to give examples you can feel free to download any kind of pluggin. Ok so we have our pluggin set now we're ready to go. When we will post a no follow link this will automatically be highlighted with a red color (you can't miss it) well actually it's annoying but you will just have to learn to deal with it. Now for the search strings: There are a ton of blogs out there who are quite easy to spot by looking at their urls so if we would like to search for a blog which is structured with the use of nodes we will simply type in Seochat : " inurl:/node/ computers" this will probably show us a few results but it really isn't the thing we are looking for because there are too many results.
Of course this is just an example, you may find that there are many types of blogs with different structures (/node/ commentview / archive etc).
Not all blogs come with captcha's but you might want to look for these because they are likely to have less spam. I recommend you use searchstrings like "math question" or "This question is used to make sure you are a human visitor and to prevent spam submissions." because they are likely to show you good blogs to post on. Try to avoid blogs that require registration, most of these have the nofollow tag and are heavily moderated.

How many backlinks should i post daily ?
The quality of your link building process is important too. Here's a really nice article about backlinks where you are able to see why a handful of links could beat hundreds or even more. Quality counts and like i said before you should always take quality over quantity.
I believe in Quality over Quantity remember that !
Inbound links and outbound links
However, you shouldn't ignore the importance of your site's outbound links. A number of quality outbound links from a Web page can also increase search rank because they indicate that the site is an "authority" on a particular topic.
Ok so outbound links are links on your website pointing to others. These can be a threat in some way because they can lead your visitors off your page. The way to not let this happen is by opening a new page using this syntax :
" a href="http://www.page.html" target="_blank">Page Link " or by using JavaScript code.
I prefer to see external links as content, because the more you help your visitors the more will you satisfy your needs so you provide content right ?
The thing that connects inbound links and outbound links is the anchor texts. The anchors you use to "promote" your site will be your keywords so by building a lot of links using keywords from a general field won't raise your site's popularity around any field but if you build links using anchors from the same topic (perfumes for example) you will surely grow in search engines.
So don't forget a lot of inbound links + outbound links makes me a happy owner.

First things first
I’m sorry i jumped right into the link building process without explaining better the basics of links and link building.
So why do we need them ?
Well there are plenty of reasons but the most important are:
Getting your site known ! That’s right .. by creating links that are contextual related to your website you will have better chances of getting known via a search engine. People use search engines all day long so why not lead them to your site.
Making a profit out of this ! If people visit your site then you have a good chance to make money out of it. Place Google Ads or get yourself an affiliate. This way you could maximize your profits.
It’s fun ! Well who doesn’t want to work without having a strict program, be your own boss !
Are Forums Good ?
Forum links unlike blog links or social bookmarking ones don’t tend to have the “rel=no follow” so basically when you link from a forum to your site you will be able to influence the search engines.
Of course in order to have a good result people should look for niche or topic related content and of course a good (1+) PageRank rating.
Known problems:
1. Forum moderators are very vigilent so when they see a 2 year old topic “jumping” on top of others they tend to be suspicious. Posting something like : “I agree, thumbs up” won’t do a lot and you will most likely be banned.
2. Posting on forums require skills. A person who wants to post on a forum should know the basic html syntax and phpbb related one too. When you register you must keep an eye out for html and bbcode availability, registering on a forum that doesn’t have either will get you with an account at the most.
Try using the Signature : Your links will probably look a little less spammy rather than stuffing them like :” I was wondering if you could help me with my site because i am having problems all day long .” I tend to use quotes or known phrases … keep that in mind and you will have links there waiting even after a month.
3. Don’t get fooled about forum urls, once you posted a link double check if the topic you posted in has a PR > 0. For example a link that ends with ?message= will most likely show a 0 PR. This is because the “?message=” part automatically shows a PR of 0 rather than it’s current value. Go back on your browser reload the page using the CTRL + F5 combo and see the actual results.
All these things could be a bit demoralizing if you are new to backlinks but take your time not everyone is an expert so try reading first, experiment after and let me know if your results are satisfactory.
Quality over Quantity
Although having a lot of links pointing to your is a good thing and may lead to a good Page Rank for you page it ain’t that smart to just go hunting for backlinks. I think people are taught the wrong way.
Why not look for something a bit more priceless ?
Of course everything is quite abstract but i could bet that if you would get yourself a few content related backlinks it would do you so much better than having 100 backlinks from spammed pages. Keyword related or topic related pages linking back to you have a much greater effect on your site. Google will see that your pages are related and will say that your page is more reliable rather than cutting down on your rating because you have achieved 10000 spammy links over night.
Backlinks explained
Well backlinks or back links are links that point to a certain site. So the site linking will have at least one outbound link (leaving link) and the site receiving the link will have one inbound link. So to get this straight backlinks or inbound links represent the sum of links coming from other sites.
I know the importance of backlinks. Everybody is looking for them, everyone wants to have a huge amount of backlinks. They can mean the difference from a site you will never be able to find and those top results. Of course when it comes to SEO backlinks aren't everything but if you want to get started and see some results i think this is the most important aspect !
But are backlinks that important ? so important that people spend hundreds of dollars on renting a few links ? spending thousands or tens of thousands of dollars on link campaigns ? Well YES !
Think of it like this every backlink is a vote to the other site. If you get votes from highly trusted sites well they will carry a bit of that information to your site right ? if you get backlinks from spam blogs and other discredited / banned sites well it could affect your image. I will try to explain how to build better links for your site by following a few simple rules so feel free to search through my blog.
As a different approach i will try to explain how rankings are affected by backlinks :
Let's say Site A and C are linking to site B, which on the other hand links to site D. We will pretend our sites have the following PR.
Site A : PR 4
Site B : PR 4
Site C : PR 3
Site D : unknown ( or zero, site just created)
Lets say k(X) is the total number of links pointing from the site X to the rest of the world. Let’s say site www.onion.com is pointing to 10 sites then k(www.onion.com) would be 10. In this case Page B would benefit from page A and C with about A/k(A) + C/k(C) PR rating. And site D with a B/k(B) rating.
Of course there are a lot more to this than just the number of links pointing in/out of each site but that’s the general idea.
Imagine that if a site shares the same content as yours and it links to you, because of the contextual relevancy you will gain more credit, seems simple enough right ? But this is only one of the aspects...
